Gemstone & Pearl Jewellery

All of our pearl and gemstone jewellery is knotted with a nylon silk thread to protect and prolong the life of the piece.  However, taking the following steps will further prolong the life of your jewellery:

1. Please do not immerse your jewellery in water which means not to wear in the bath or shower or run your jewellery under the tap!

2. Please do not apply body creams or spray perfume when wearing your jewellery.

3. Make sure you spray perfume at least 10-15 minutes prior to putting on your jewellery as this may discolour the stones. Don’t ever put your jewellery on seconds after applying perfume, let it dry first! The same for body creams which may discolour and weaken the silk thread.

4. Do not expose to extreme sunlight (sunbed) or excessive temperatures as this will not only lighten the stones, but may also weaken the silk threads.

5. Keep your jewellery stored in its jewellery box. Keeping your jewellery loose and with other items will damage the stones and scratches will appear.

6. Do not use any mild detergent such as washing-up liquid to clean your stones! You would not wash your hands with this, so do not wash your precious jewellery!
